Origami Butterfly


Time: A good couple of hours
Instead of: Textiles coursework
I'm doing it because: I want to make a portfolio to try and get into a graphics design course and i want a good example of my attempts at origami diagramming because the wishing star one is ugly.
Really I'm doing it because: The dog and parent is away so i have the computer to myself + no reasons to get dressed (like dog walking), I actully made a photo stream version like with the origami napkin fish but all the photos were too rubbish to use and face it, this or textiles coursework.
Programme used: Serif Drawplus X3 is beyond awesome!

please point out typos/things that could be made clearer/missed bits/unicorns

neeed.... goood..... DS... games...
Currently drooling over:

  • Legend of Zelda: Spirit tracks supposedly coming out in december. i bet the US get it months before us! >(
  • Ni no Kuni: The Another World Still. in the making. Still.
  • Professor Layton And Pandora's Box Set for september! Hurray! At least it has a set name now.
  • Harvest Moon Welcome! Wind's Bazaar Guessing 2012. Been wondering what my next HM game should be and this looks ideal!
  • Elebits - The Adventures of Kai and Zero Is currently out, i just need to find it. Oh, and money.


Games i remember looking at and i now wonder if i should get them:

  • Touch detective Must have been the art style...
  • Time Hollow The story line!





Anyway. My boredom aside. Here's a little moan about web design.

I've been meaning to make a new layout. But, as of now, my confidence is at an all time low. I've forgotten how to make layouts.

I've always hated the actual making of layouts, and now realise (of course now) that it was always the coding i enjoyed the most, learnt the most from. So, i'm ditching any attempt to be a graphics designer unless i really have to. You know, to code and all.

So, i'm gonna learn to code the things i've always wanted to code. Pop-ups that work so easily without having to piss about with Java. Generators so i don't have to teach you how to code, so you can fill in the details and get the code. Log in scripts. Not because i'm making a member section, just to know how. And finally... learn how to make those awesome flash websites.

Now i'm not expecting myself to learn all of that (flash? not gonna happen any time soon) but i will aim for that. PHP, Java Script, Flash.
